Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks using a rubber spatula.

Using a cookie scoop, place about 2 tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers still look slightly soft.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
